We are Ken Southam and Sarah Allen from North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. We will be on an adventure in Southern Africa from July 2, 2022 to September 5, 2022 driving our 27 year young 1995 Toyota Landcruiser expedition camper from Capetown South Africa through Namibia, to Victoria Falls, Botswana and to Johannesburg South Africa.
We researched the highlights of Southern Africa and established a preliminary road plan that is reasonably flexible since we are self contained we can travel at a relaxed pace and change the plan as we discover new points of interest along the way. We have planed a 9 week trip with a pace that allows us to spend multiple days at a number of stops during our journey. We just need to average 150 km per day to arrive in Johannesburg at the end of August in time for our flights back to Vancouver on September 5th. Our plan has a start and and end point but everything in between is ‘the adventure’. We are booked into several game parks and have arranged a couple of game safaris with professional guides along the way.
